This research investigates a structure of cross-media 3.0 productions and suggests a prototype to manage multiple contents through disparate media and to evaluate a specific production. In this environment, it is important to obtain the ability that organizes numerous media and delivers a variety of stories to each platform on time and within budget. A cross-media 3.0 production provides a ‘bridge’ and ‘navigation’ because the truest form of these productions drives the audience to use ‘Call-To-Action’. To realize these characteristic aspects, a cross-media production should have a directed and networked management system that leads the audience along a wellorganized path. The author examines the structure of five cross-media productions; ‘Scorched (AU)’, ‘The Truth about Marika (SW)’, ‘Emmerdale Online (UK)’, ‘Harpers’s Island & Globe (USA)’, and ‘True Blood (USA)’. These cases presents in context of (i) analyzing a fundamental structure of cross-media 3.0 surroundings, (ii) suggesting a cross-media 3.0 model with a bow-tie graph, and (iii) how to produce and distribute multi-layered contents across media. Based on this case investigation, I create a ‘Cross-Media 3.0 Manager’ whose tool aims at scheduling diverse media in preproduction stage and evaluating the whole process of productions. This paper attempts to outline of a cross-media 3.0 production and to predict the usefulness and necessity of this proposed model for potential cross-media producers.
