In this research, the strategies for securing the industrial and corporate competitiveness of the mobile telecommunication operators in the IMT-2000 service in Korea have been analyzed and proposed. That is, the directions have been provided where the Korea mobile telecommunication service operators win the industrial competitiveness over other major countries, where they lead the IMT-2000 service industry under the global competition environment and where they can reinforce their corporate competitiveness in the mobile telecommunication on the basis of the firm``s core competence.
As for the analysis of the industrial competitiveness, as its theoretical background, the M.Porter``s model of the industrial competitiveness has been explored and applied to the IMT-2000 service industry. From this, a major group of the critical factors on the industrial competitiveness have been derived such as the market demands, the industry structure, the government policies, the technology development, the firm management, the factor conditions and the related supporting industries.
As for the analysis of the firm competitiveness, as its theoretical background, the existing theories have been explored and applied to the IMT-2000.
