During the past ten years, perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness concept or measurement, are both believed to be important factors in determining the acceptance and use of information systems. Many IS researchers have investigated and replicated these two constructs and they have agreed that these constructs’ validity is helpful and powerful to predict use of information systems. However, they studied a specific applications, such as word processing program, spreadsheet program, e-mail program, and etc. rather than general information systems. In addition, many research have conducted in workplace environment. The recent stream of research that has examined the notions of fun and enjoyment as they relate to individual use of computers found that both extrinsic and intrinsic factors motivation to use computers in the workplace. Information systems researchers have called for further research in playfulness in human-computer interactions. In this research we focus on individuals’ perceptions about the characteristics of the target technology (World-Wide-Web) as explanatory and predictive variable for acceptance behavior. Although many other factors such as organizational characteristics, individual characteristics, etc., have been hypothesized as influence on user acceptance, perceived characteristics of an technology deserve attention for several reasons. First, as discussed above, the construct is a recurring theme in technology acceptance models. Second, form a theoretical perspective, given the fact that there are several perceptions included in the various models, it would be valuable to verify whether all the perception indeed predict acceptance. This would possibly allow for the specification of more parsimonious models in which perceptions appear as a construct.
