We regard family as a unit attempt to maximize his/her health and the family``s health by choosing the most cost-effective input in the optimum combination to maximize health. And the allocation of time which is determined by contextural variables (socio-economic condition) is treated as important factor to influence the perception of cost-effectiveness of health producing inputs. Our empirical results show that time which is ultimately scarce resource significantly influence health condition of family member through perception of cost-effectiveness of health producing inputs.
