dc.description.abstractThis paper reports half-pipe shaped palladium (Pd) nanotubes using nanofiber templates as hydrogen (H2) sensor for the first time. Various methods to fabricate Pd nanostructure gas sensors were reported earlier, such as standard bottom-up method and lateral electrodeposition method. The realization of Pd nanostructure based on electrospun nanofibers offers a facile and cost effective way to fabricate high performance H2 sensor. As a result, for 4nm thick half-pipe Pd nanotubes exhibited a high response (2.1%) to H2 gas with 21s of response time (τ0-80).-
