Recently, Urban Aerial Mobility, a new concept mobile vehicle for moving in the city, has been released. The purpose of this thesis is to research and develop a flying car, a concept verification model of an autonomous vehicle capable of both flying and driving, which has recently received a lot of attention. Most of the released UAMs cannot be driven on public roads. Flying car is a one-seater model of autonomous mobile vehicle that can take off and land vertically to maximize operability and can also drive smoothly on real roads through its own power. In the design process of the flying car, stability was verified through simulation and its own flight controller was installed. Experiments of actually driving and flying the flying car are conducted to verify the practical utility. The stability of the aircraft is verified through flight tests and indoor autonomous driving is tested using the LiDAR, GPS, and IMU mounted on the flying car. The flying car can be applied intend to suggest a design direction for a new concept mobile vehicle capable of autonomous driving on public roads and flying in the city.
