These days, electronic devices are improving rapidly and becoming an indispensable part of our lives. As technology improves more and requires more new functionalities new circuits are added to these devices to provide different voltages for various functional blocks. These come at the cost of consuming much more energy, as battery life has not improved at a sufficient rate to support the large power demand. Therefore, reducing power consumption has come to play a significant role in Research and Development. In this thesis, a vestigial current-mode buck-boost SIMO converter is proposed, aiming to provide multiple voltage levels at a higher conversion efficiency. Compared to conventional buck-boost topology, the proposed circuit not only reduces the number of switches on the main inductor current path by half but also still offers both buck and boost mode operation. Compared to previous vestigial current-mode buck-boost SIMO, instead of returning energy to the input voltage source, the remaining inductor energy is transferred directly to the output and therefore avoids energy loss by returning process.
