dc.description.abstractWith the accumulation of digitalized narrative data, the quantitative research methodology of narrative structure becomes important. There have been attempts to understand the interaction of characters in narratives based on social network concepts, but such research has not gained sufficient depth. In this research, we analyze the relationship of characters in movie scripts from the viewpoint of co-appearance and sentiments based on numerical measures derived from statistical models. In addition, by applying the cluster analysis method, the stricter of character communities and sentimental relationship between communities are extracted. We expect that our methodology will be the basis for enabling comparison between the narrative and obtaining high-level features of the narrative.-
