이 발명은 손 부위 절단환자나 마비환자와 같은 손 지체 장애인이 컴퓨터를 사용할 수 있도록 하는 컴퓨터 인터페이스 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다.이 발명에 따른 손 지체 장애인을 위한 컴퓨터 인터페이스 장치는, 컴퓨터를 사용하고자 하는 손 지체 장애인의 아래팔과 함께 움직이는 마커와, 상기 마커의 영상을 획득하는 카메라와, 상기 카메라에서 획득된 상기 마커의 영상으로부터 상기 아래팔의 움직임 정보를 얻어 상기 컴퓨터에게 출력하여 마우스의 움직임으로 인식하도록 하는 영상처리장치를 포함한다.
