dc.description.abstract | Mobile payment services have developed as a result of recent advancements in fintech. Although various studies have investigated why people adopt these new services, there is a lack of empirical research on retaining long-term users. This study examines people’s use of mobile payments from the viewpoint of perceived risk. Survey data collected from 162 respondents were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results show that security and components related to personal information are significant factors. This study provides practical academic and managerial implications for mobile instant messenger (MIM) payment service providers, and extends the suitability of resistance theory to MIM payments in the emerging mobile payment market. | - |
