This study analysed the gait and functional exercise of total 79 elderly women(>65years); 34 of them had chronic low back pain and 45 had not. The purpose of this study is for those elderly females with chronic lower back pain during their gait and function test and using those results to create a program to help those with this problem. The method of study is GAIT Rite which is a functional test methodology which includes sit-to-stand, 2.45m timed up and go, 2.45 timed up and go and one leg with eyes open.The results are that those elderly females with chronic lower versus those without have lower stride velocity, mean stride velocity, step length, stride length and step width, and stride width. Also the direction of the toe was also pointed, step extremity ratio was lower and the base width of H-H base of support was higher out for those elderly females with chronic low back pain. Functional fitness test results for those elderly women with chronic lower back pain group results point to that versus those normal people also pointed to lower static balance. In summary, those elderly women with chronic lower back pain need to strengthen their glueteus maximux and hamstring muscle in order to overcome their difficulties.
