Existing research on enhancing the interactivity of motion command systems for game has yet to find a way of increasing the interactivity of full body motion without using additional controllers. In order provide an additional input channel to a full body interaction system without using additional controllers, this study presents a control mechanism that consists of motion and speech input for game control. To validate the effectiveness of the suggested control system, we conducted a user test comparing the suggested control system with the unimodal input method. The results from this study revealed that a command system that consists of motion and speech can lead users to experience more enjoyment and immersion than can unimodal control systems. With regard to learnability, the suggested control system was not easy to learn compared to unimodal methods. However, there was no significant difference in perceived difficulty between the suggested control system and the system that accepts motion input only. Moreover, after the first trial, most participants adjusted to the suggested control method rapidly.
