The objective of the present study is to investigate the dividing two-phase flow in a vertical rectangular mini-channel(8㎜×8㎜) with a horizontal branch of the same cross section. The previous works on the dividing two-phase flow at a T-junction were reviewed to identify the variables which affect the flow behavior. The test section is made of transparent acrylic plates for the flow visualization. The effect of the quality of the main flow on that of the branch flow was examined. As the inlet quality increases, the fraction of the liquid separated through the branch increases for the fixed fraction of the gas separation. The experimental results are compared with the Azzopardi's model; the model overpredicts the fraction of the liquid separation for the fixed fraction of the gas separation.
