dc.description.abstract | An all-optical wavelength conversion of a 10-Gb/s nonreturn-to-zero signal is demonstrated by using absorption modulation in a Fabry-Perot laser diode. A continuous-wave holding beam is incorporated in order to enhance the operation speed of the proposed absorption modulation.
