We propose a new adaptive beamforming technology for multi-user detection applications. The algorithm requires no reference signal. It consists of two stage processes. The function of the first stage is to scan initial incident directions of users. At the second stage, adaptive beamforming algorithms, for each detected user at the first stage, are applied to find the exact users' signals. Computer simulations, considering multi-path Rayleigh Fading Channel in the CDMA environment, are presented to verify the performance. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
