Nano-sized indium oxide (In2O3) crystals were successfully synthesized I)v wet reaction without metal catalyst. The nanomaterials were characterized by an x-ray diffraction (XRD), it scanning electron microscopy (SE-M) equipped with an energy disperive spectrometry (EDS). and a transmission electron microscopy (TEM). It was shown that the nano-sized In2O3 were various morphologies. such as nanoparticles, nanorods containing In2O3 nanoparticles and uniform nanowires. We confirmed that above all things the reaction temperature affects the, morphologies of the nano-sized In2O3 crystals. The growth direction of the nanowires was investigated and their growth mechanism is also discussed.
