Scalable IP lookup scheme with small forwarding table for gigabit routers
A scalable and simple forwarding table structure for gigabit routers is proposed, The scheme requires at most two memory accesses to complete an IP lookup and reduces memory requirement by about 20% compared with previous schemes when no compression method is used.
