dc.description.abstractA novel method for placement of resynchronisation markers for error robust video transmission is proposed. Given the number of markers assigned to the current frame, marker positions are decided in a rate-distortion optimal sense. The Viterbi algorithm is employed to solve the rate-distortion problem.-
