A cylindrically textured YBCO film was grown on a cylindrical surface of single crystalline YSZ. The substrate shape was a 60 degrees sector of a cylinder. The substrate surface was pretreated by oxygen ion milling followed by deposition of 15 Angstrom thick CeO2 buffer layer. It was confirmed by XRD 2 O and phi-scan that the c-axes were normal to the surfaces and the a and b-axes were aligned in all regions. T-c was about 85K.
