dc.description.abstractDynamic scaling behaviour of optical transmittance (T)-electric field (E) hysteresis loop was studied in a surface stabilized ferroelectric liquid crystal (SSFLC). For various values of frequency (f) and amplitude(E) of the applied electric field the hysteresis loop area A was found to show a scaling behaviour as A/E-alpha proportional to g(f/E-beta), and in the low frequency regime the scaling was reduced to A proportional to E-0.44 f(0.13).-
