An adhesively bonded anisotropic composite structure containing a part-through crack is analyzed. Two plates are bonded through an adhesive of constant thickness which is treated as a two dimensional shear spring in the analysis. The cracked plate is considered to contain a through-crack of Smite length along the fiber direction. The problem is reduced to a pair of Fredholm integral equations of the second kind. By solving these equations numerically the mixed mode stress intensity factors KⅠ and KⅡ are calculated, and in plane stresses of the cracked plate are calculated for various fiber orientations.
