We derive another Wess-Zumino (minimal WZ) action which cancels the gauge anomaly of the chiral Schwinger model following a recently suggested method. The new WZ action cancels the gauge anomaly for alpha = 1 and its effective action is equivalent to the usual one for alpha = 2.-
