The laminar natural-convection heat transfer near a vertical corner of an arbitrary angle is presented. For large Grashof numbers, the corner-layer equations and appropriate boundary conditions are formulated in an oblique coordinate system based on the method of matched asymptotic expansions. The analysis is valid for any corner angles except the limiting angles 0-degrees and 360-degrees. The velocity and temperature distributions are numerically determined using the finite difference technique of ADI type for corner angles ranging from 60-degrees to 300-degrees for Prandtl numbers of 0.72 and 7.0.
