dc.description.abstract | Researches in the area of IP autoconfiguration in MANET (Mobile Ad-hoc Network) have been done for the past few years and then have resulted in various algorithms from many researchers all over the world. However those algorithms were mostly designed under the assumption of pure ad-hoc network which is considerably different from the real situations or applications. So here we propose IPv6 address autoconfiguration schemes tailored for the applications which are based on hierarchy structure such as temporal military communication network system. Moreover we combine IPv6 address autoconfiguration schemes with naming schemes, which used to be the future work for most researchers of IP autoconfiguration. In this paper, we first set a battalion echelon as a system model and then investigate the difference between pure MANET and tactical MANET. Finally we propose two IPv6 address and name autoconfiguration schemes tailored for dynamic battlefield situations and evaluate them through quantitative analysis based on extensive simulations and qualitative analysis. | eng |
