dc.description.abstract | High data rate transmission for the given frequency channel are required to provide multimedia service effectively in the wireless mobile communication. The one of the promising method to increase data rate and capacity is Multi-antenna transmission technique. Especially, in 3GPP, the scheme which combines transmit diversity and higher data rate that are making use of the advantages for Space-Time Block Coding (STBC) and Vertical-Belt Laboratories Layered Space-Time (V-BLAST) is proposed, termed the double Space-Time Transmit Diversity (DSTTD). However, the performance of DSTTD scheme is degraded by effect of interference due to signals coming from the different Space-Time Transmit Diversity (STTD) encoders. So, DSTTD with interference cancellation is proposed to reduce the effect of interference in this thesis. Also, the existing DSTTD scheme assume that the channel is frequency flat Rayleigh fading channel. In the STBC scheme with 2 transmit antennas and 1 receive antenna, Time-Reversal Space Time Block Coding (TR-STBC) scheme is used instead of STBC scheme over frequency selective Rayleigh fading channel. Therefore, in this thesis, Double-Time Reversal Space Time Block Coding (D-TRSTBC) scheme which use 2 TR-STBC encoders is proposed to apply over frequency selective Rayleigh fading channel. And, we show that DSTTO with interference cancellation and D-TRSTBC outperform the DSTTD scheme. In the simulation, the channel is perfectly known in the receiver and independent two taps Rayleigh fading channel with equal average power and three typical GSM models are used over frequency selective channel. Finally, using above two algorithms, D-TRSTBC with interference cancellation scheme is proposed. And, it is demonstrated that D-TRSTBC with interference cancellation outperforms the existing DSTTD scheme. | eng |
