In this thesis, the detail analysis of space-time codes is presented. Assuming the perfect CSI estimation and perfectly independent channel, the upper bound on the bit error probability is expressed by using the pairwise error probability in [5], and compared with the simulation results. We analyze the effect to the bit error probability when the number of code matrices is reduced based on the maximum pairwise probability in the case of space-time block code. This analysis can be considered as the comparison of Tarokh``s [3] and Hughes`` algorithm [4]. Next point of this thesis is the problem in CSI estimation. We simulate the BER performance when CSI estimation based on 3GPP and simply modified estimation are used, and analysis the performance degradation due to the error of CSI. In chapter 3, the simulations for space-time block code under correlated fading channel are presented. The simulations are performed with the correlated channel based on the MIMO channel model of 3GPP. Moreover, the effect of correlated channel is analyzed in terms of additional power consumption in order to achieve the same BER in independent channel.
