With the improvement of IT technology, many people use various mobile devices in their everyday life. Accordingly, many researchers have been studying on interface for these mobile devices. Based on the researches, many new interaction styles are proposed using various sensors. However, it is hard to find these new interaction methods on commercial device. In this thesis, we propose mChip as the practical way to support new interaction on mobile device. It is the mixed form of low resolution image sensor and processing unit therefore it can process the image sequence according to the algorithm without consideration of computational power on target device. This thesis deals with the factors that should be considered when chip is manufactured such as design criteria and the characteristics of low resolution. To address its feasibility, we implement two application on which has similar configuration of mChip.
