In broadband networks, dynamic service change affects the management system because of the variability in time to market, transmission quality and transport system. Therefore, reusability and maintainability become the important quality factors in network management system (NMS). Component-based software system, software product line and design pattern help in cost reduction and reliability by providing modularity in a complex management system. However as apposed to other methods, the aspect-oriented software development method is a feasible solution for the purpose evolvability of NMS. In this thesis, we propose a method to generate aspects in a standard management information model using aspect conversion and metric calculation (ACMC) algorithm. We applied it ITU-T M.3100 as a case study. It is also evaluated the reusability and maintainability via the ratio of reduced redundancy in point of crosscutting concern in a standard management information model. Aspect conversion information can be used in the optimization process and shared in the management layer and network domain as a meta-file. It is expected to utilize the introduction of aspect-oriented programming in NMS and reduce the developer``s effort to maintain the complex network management system.
