Developing a design support system for managing user performance in corporate network

Abstract

A corporate network is a good choice for the enterprise to gain petitive advantages in an era of exploding needs for geographically dispersed information processing. Therefore, network managers take challenges of managing effectively the user performance to maintain a competitive network. In this thesis, a design support system is developed for managing user performance in a corporate network. The system consists of three subsystems; data management, model management, and user interface. The system estimates the user performance in corporate network and compares the current performance with target performance. Furthermore, several recommendations for improving the performance can be given by the system. To illustrate its usefulness, the system is applied to a real-life finance company.
