The eigenvalue equations of the viscous resistive ballooning modes are derived for studying the linear stabilities in low beta toroidal plasmas by reducing and linearizing the MHD equations. These equations contain the diamagnetic drift, ion polarization, compressibility and the viscosity effects. The calculations are carried out on the basic assumptions of cold ion, constant electron temperature and slow time scale (growth rate is much less than Alfven time). The local flux-surface average is used to the ballooning mode representations with two scale lengths assumption. It is expected that the numerical analysis can be easily performed using the obtained equations.eng
