dc.description.abstract | A group of synergetic analyses are presented. Using Karhunen-Loeve (KL) method, spatio-temporal analysis showed the functioning difference of Alzheimer’s disease patient’s brain and the inter-hemispheric connection difficulty of it, along with remarkable intra-hemispheric correlation. The sleep deprived human EEG and meditator’s EEG were analyzed and compared with reported results. Appreciated with delicate statistical tools, the sets of method showed the most dominant EEG dynamic axis in a form of stationary pattern. Added to the information theoretical tools, the status of information transmission between local brain regions inherent in human EEG could be evaluated. Dynamically varying status of information transmission could be extracted and presented as consequent series of mode maps. From the method, spatio-temporal analysis could be augmented. The relation between the spatio-temporal pattern of EEG in AD patients and their status of information transmission could be explained. Amalgamated methods showed the time-varying mutual relations in multi-channel EEG but preserved axis of dynamics for those non-stationary variations as specific pattern. | eng |
