dc.description.abstractIn this thesis the boundary integral equation for the elliptic partial differential equation is treated. To solve numerically this boundary integral equation, the multigrid method is used. The multigrid algorithm for the boundary integral equation has a special smoother. And that smoother is very useful for the boundary integral equation. On the smooth boundary, the convergence rate of the multigrid method is very good. The boundary integral equation on the boundary with corners is treated also.eng
