Modeling and analysis of reverse link CDMA cellular network

Abstract

In this thesis, we analyze the reverse link of a CDMA cellular network under dynamic conditions in order to derive expressions for loss probability of communication quality and blocking rate. Expressions for loss probability and blocking rate are derived in terms of traffic intensity and CAC threshold. Key features of CDMA, interference limitedness and soft handoff process, are taken into consideration in the analysis. The stationary distribution of the number of users in the three regions is derived.
