This thesis describes an audio watermarking technique based on the patchwork algorithm in the wavelet transform domain. This method takes advantage of the fast computation that can be available when the piecewise constant functions are used in the wavelet transform. The proposed method in this work yields a robust audio watermarking scheme against usual multi-media data compression algorithms such as MPEG/Audio layer 3 for audio compression and linear time speed change, etc. Several simulation results are given to show an improved performance of the proposed method.
