Mesh generation for solving a boundary value problem on the two-dimensional Riemannian manifolds

Abstract

In this thesis we consider mesh generations for solving boundary value problems on the two dimensional Riemannian manifolds. The problems are solved over the domain which is the projection of a domain on the two-dimensional Riemannian manifold M onto $R^2$. We introduce two methods for triangulations of a domain on $R^2$ and compare them through an example.
