In recent years, Electronic Commerce (EC) has emerged as an essential success factor in business area. EC takes a significant role shift from business-to-customer (B2C) EC to business-to-business (B2B) EC. However, the shift has a bias in its manufacturing orientation and geographically unbalanced development. The direction of B2B EC has been focusing mainly on manufacturing related industries such as electronics, automobiles and machinery; Primary industry such as agriculture and mining has relatively low significance. However, it is expected that B2B EC in primary industry will increase.
To bridge the gap, it is necessary for proposing possible models of online business-to-business that has focus on primary industry in developing country. More specially, this thesis has the objectives to review the traditional methodologies in strategy planning such as Long Range Planning, Total Quality Management (TQM) and Information system Planning (ISP) and improve the detected problems in those methods. The proposed framework makes strategies or enablers of B2B EC in the context of South East Asia.
