dc.description.abstractSupply chain management (SCM) currently becomes influential, which is the expansion of physical distribution management and logistics management. Under SCM environment, it is very important for the manager to monitor information derived from all divisions of the company on various levels and to take a countermeasure against the opportunity or threat. But it is nearly impossible to supply proper and timely information with the managers in the circumstance that each database is located in each specialized division. The objective of this thesis is to solve the problems of retailer under SCM environment. To improve the efficiency of SCM, it is necessary to integrate the scattered databases and make critical database (CDB). To make the CDB, four steps are necessary; those are making attribute correspondence matrix (ACM), principal attribute selection, schema integration and data compression. After making the CDB, the decision making module that utilizes the CDB is suggested. The module consists of four major processes; those are supervisor process, data management process, analysis process and constraint process. They make executives and manager``s decision making be faster and more automated. The CDB and automated decision making module constitute an EIS or DSS that promptly supplies pertinent information with decision makers. By using the suggested framework, the speed for decision making process becomes faster. Besides, the cost for decision making reduces, and consequently, customer satisfaction is enhanced.eng
