dc.description.abstract | Setup reduction and quality improvements are important factors and have been the key issues in modern manufacturing systems. Assuming a specific form of investment cost which relates to the factors, a multi-product capacitated EPQ model is proposed. Utilizing Geometric Programming, closed-form of optimal solution is obtained for setup cost, setup time, quality level and production cycle time. The analysis is extened to the case where overtime is allowed. | eng |
