Not only the electronic commerce where all the transactions are made on-line, but a service or telecommunication industry where frequent communication with the customers is necessary is producing tremendous data. Many companies are trying to utilize the various data, and they introduce data warehouse to store data and facilitate decision making by on-line analytic processing system. But these existing methods have shortcomings in integrating and processing data of varying formats and occurrence cycles, and they often lose valuable information by misleading dimensions for aggregating the data. In this dissertation, the suitable dimension is proposed that can aggregate raw data containing useful information, and data mining methodology that derives relevant information or patterns is used for determining such an appropriate dimension. An information asset is created by aggregating raw data by the dimension, and it is utilized by each decision maker in various ways.
