In NMR imaging, homogeneous main magnetic field and high-degree of linearity in the magnetic field gradients are essential for the reconstruction of an accurate image. The inhomogeneous main magnetic field blurs the image, while the nonlinear gradients distort the image. In this study, blurring is corrected by the use of the data obtained from the differential inhomogeneity and the distortion is removed by the transform of the coordinates. The results obtained by computer simulation are presented to demonstrate the efficiency of the correction technique.
