Development of a simple computer vision system

Abstract

To give the recognition capability of task object by visual ability, a video digitizer and some basic software techniques for computer vision system were developed. The video digitizer was developed for the CROMEMCO SYSTEM III microcomputer with C.C.T.V. camera to convert the analog valued scene into digitized image which is compatible to digital computer. Basic software techniques for computer vision system were aimed at the recognition of 3 dimensional objects. And simple applications of these techniques were carried out about cubic objects which can be considered as typical 3 dimensional objects.
