(A) spatial domain approach to ETTR algorithm

Abstract

An extended true three dimensional reconstruction (ETTR) algorithm based on the spatial domain processing is proposed. This algorithm is directly applicable to 3-D volume image reconstruction for an arbitrary shape of object from 2-D parallel beam projection data. The new algorithm is derived as the extension of the previously developed GTTR algorithm and consequently full utilization of the oblique rays is assumed for the meximizing of the statistical quality of the final reconstructed image.
