A new technique to map the magnetic field inhomogeneity induced by the eddy current, which is generated in the surrounding conductors of the NMR imaging system by the pulsed gradient field, is proposed. Using the proposed method, the eddy current induced field inhomogeneity has been measured simultaneously in both time and space domains. It is shown that the experimental results obtained with KAIS 2. OT NMR imaging system have shown that the obtained eddy current induced field inhomogeneity maps can be used for the accurate estimation of the eddy current effect and its application to various kinds of NMR imaging techniques.
