A 3-D angiography technique for producing separate artery and vein angiograms is proposed. By inserting a common saturation region between the artery and vein imaging slices, only incident blood flows on both sides were separately observable. Signals from artery and vein are acquired in time multiplexed manner in a given repetition time, thereby angiograms of the both artery and vein are obtained by one sequence. Using he proposed method, a set of separate 3-D artery and vein angiogram is obtained using KAIS 2.0 Tesla whole body MR imaging system. The imaging volume was 220×220×120㎣ with a resolution of 1.1mm(x)×0.86mm(y)×1.2mm(z) and total imaging time was 16.5 minutes.
