dc.description.abstractBased on the past experiences we have gained in the fast two-dimensional NMR imaging using the steady state free precession(SSFP), the technique was expanded to the true three-dimensional imaging. The tissue contrast of NMR images obtained by the SSFP in three-dimensional imaging is studied both theoretically and experimentally. The total volume three-dimensional human head images are then obtained experimentally using the KAIS 2.0 T superconducting NMR imaging system and have a good result. As an alternative to the true three-dimensional images, a partial volume imaging using the chunk three-dimensional imaging concept is investigated as a trade-off in imaging time.eng
