dc.description.abstract$^{31}P$ spectroscopic imaging in vivo has been performed with a new double tuned RF coil, which provides both spatially resolved $^{31}P$ spectra and high resolution $^1H$ images. The $^1H$ images provide anatomical informations for the $^{31}P$ spectra which are spatially resolved with very limited resolution. With human studies in vivo at 2.0 Tesla whole body MRI system, it has been found that the spatially resolved $^{31}P$ spectra with corresponding $^1H$ images could provide vital informations for metabolism study even though the spectra suffer from poor signal-to-noise ratio.eng
