For the last decade, many manufacturer and engineer are interested in wireless multihop networks for reducing cost of the configuration of the networks. But in wireless multihop networks, end-to-end throughput is degraded when the hops of the networks are growing. Furthermore, not only hop by hop throughput in data link layer but also end-to-end TCP throughput is suffered from the hidden node problem, so that their performance is very poor. In this paper, we proposed the method to improve TCP end-to-end throughput by modifying the mechanism of the MAC transmission that is link random early detection (LRED) based on throughput analysis. With the proposed method, we show that the end-to-end throughput is improved and congestion window size goes to the optimal congestion window. And we propose the method called adaptive LRED based on asymptotic analysis and control.
