We consider a slotted frequency-hopped spread-spectrum multiple access communication systems with centralized controller (base station). First, we propose the optimal channel input traffic control (OCIC) policy which is based on the optimal packet arrival distribution maximizing the channel throughput. That is, we adjust the number of channel input packets to the optimal number of channel input packets maximizing the channel throughput. The conditional throughput for OCIC policy is analyzed. Also, the steady state performance is analyzed by using Markov chain and we can show the improvement of throughput and delay for various number of frequency slots and input traffics. Specially, the mean packet delay of proposed policy is analyzed and decrease gracefully. The smaller number of frequency slots, the larger difference of performance among several policies. Finally, we investigate the system dynamics from mean drift and we can show that the OCIC policy is more stable than others.
