Parameter optimization of code acquisition detector for wireless communication multi-standard무선통신 다중표준용 부호획득기를 위한 변수 최적화

The synchronization of time and frequency is necessary for digital wireless communication. In code division multiple access (CDMA) system, the time synchronization between reference pilot code and local generated PN code is required to setup a link between transmitter and receiver, and in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system the time synchronization of preamble symbol and local generated preamble(pilot) symbol is also required. In this thesis, we propose the optimization of the parameters of the code acquisition detector to minimize of the mean acquisition time and the energy consumption, and the reconfiguration code acquisition detector for IS95, WCDMA (Wideband CDMA) and WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network). The optimized parameters can be applied to the reconfiguration detector of mobile terminal to satisfy required mean acquisition time and consume small energy. First, the optimal procedure minimizing the mean acquisition time is proposed to determine the parameter values of the code acquisition detector of single dwell with serial or parallel correlator in CDMA wireless communication. Second, the another optimal procedure minimizing the mean acquisition time is proposed to determine the parameter values of the double dwell detector with serial or parallel correlator in CDMA wireless communication. The each mean acquisition time of double dwell for both correlator type are superior to it of the single dwell due to decreasing the false alarm probability of second dwell time. Third, the optimal procedure minimizing the mean energy consumption is proposed to determine the parameter values of the code acquisition detector of single or double dwell time in CDMA wireless communication. Note that the energy consumption of serial and parallel correlator are the same.
