dc.description.abstractAn optical path supervisory scheme is presented which uses pilot tones for the identification of optical cross-connect input ports and channel equalisers for pilot-tone removal. The scheme is scalable with the number of nodes and wavelengths. The measured power penalty obtained was < 0.1 dB.-
